Program 1
$706KRESTORATIVE SERVICES - In 2024, we ministered to 364 people who were experiencing unsheltered homelessness by meeting their immediate needs, and we provided ongoing case management to 87 of those clients. Many of those clients came to The Outreach Center for daytime shelter, where 126 people without an address received 578 mail deliveries, 72 people were able to get 179 loads of laundry done, and 266 showers were provided to people through Dignity Station. Our team was also able to get 18 people into temporary emergency shelter, 65 people into substance abuse treatment, and 14 moved into permanent housing. During these winter months, our Street Outreach is helping to manage rooms for the citys winter weather shelter, and we provided 41 people with 1,592 nights of safe overnight shelter at the motel as well as case management and support. In 2024, our Homeless Intervention Program team helped 63 households move out of homelessness and into housing, including 76 adults and 34 children. They also prevented 3 households from eviction. This included providing housing navigation, rental assistance, a support group, case management, financial literacy training, and pastoral counseling. In 2024, we housed 109 men and 18 women in our transitional homes - The Potter's House, House of Hope, and Grace Place providing the support they needed to rebuild their lives on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ. During their stay at the mission, 76 engaged in volunteer service, 70 gained employment, 107 maintained their sobriety, 5 returned to rehab, 39 reunified with their families, 9 obtained permanent housing, and 6 were baptized.
Program 2
$397KRE-ENTRY SERVICES - In 2024, we significantly expanded our jail ministry by teaching Genesis Process classes to men and women in Fayette, Madison, and Woodford County jails. We also taught Jobs for Life and a Bible study in Woodford Countys jail. We reduced our re-entry case management staff last year, going from two case managers to one, but we were still able to provide 448 case management sessions to 110 ex-offenders. Of those 110 ex-offenders who received re-entry case management, 16 (14.5%) were re-incarcerated, 20 were housed, 56 obtained jobs, 16 were reunified with family, 7 gained mentors, and 1 furthered their education. Project Peace worked with 87 households, including 254 adults with 324 children and youth, after shootings. Of these 87 households, we permanent relocated 36 households to ensure their safety. We also connected 20 families to counseling and provided support to all families. Overall, there were only two incidents of further violence among these families, and our citys homicide rate dropped to its lowest in nearly a decade.
Program 3
$158KEMPLOYMENT SERVICES - In 2024, we taught 109 job-seekers employment skills through Jobs for Life, and 53 people graduated from the program. Our team was able to place 120 program participants in 123 jobs in our community. Last summer, we shifted Jobs for Life to focus on serving residents in sober living homes, and we added classes at Victory House, Walker House, and Tracys House in addition to the classes in our transitional homes.
