MAINE WOMEN'S LOBBY EDUCATION FUND

Civic leadership: we offer mainers training and skill-building, as well as the confidence to engage as change makers in civic life. Our key program is the annual girls day at the state house, which has been held every year since 1996. In 2024, nearly 100 eighth grade girls and gender expansive youth representing every county in maine participated in both online and in person programming at the state house. Our youth programs support those who are invested in gender-equitable civic engagement and social change on a local, statewide and national level. We are committed to continuing to work with youth to make the policy process more transparent, connect them with each other as valuable resources, and equip our participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to take on change in their corners of maine.
