The hai was held in july at the jackie robinson training complex in vero beach, florida and approximately 250 players (ages 13-18) from across the united states received elite-level training from former major league players and coaches. $771KThe HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile & powered by the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation (YDF) is an annual All-Star experience for baseball student-athletes from Division-I programs at Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU). The HBCU Swingman Classic highlights the history and legacy of HBCU baseball programs while also provides 50 HBCU players with the opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage. The student-athletes are selected by a committee that includes YDF Ambassador & Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. alongside representatives from MLB and MLBPA, as well as scouts.
