MONTE VISTA EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Monte Vista Education Foundation has worked over the past few years to establish the Bomb Squad traveling baseball program. We are getting ready to begin our 5th year of providing players from Monte Vista and across the San Luis Valley the opportunity to play, learn, and compete in tournaments across the state. We currently have two teams that are composed of players ages 8-14 years old. Our coaches are all volunteers and dedicate their time and energy to helping these young players develop. The parents are very supportive by driving the children to the different tournaments and local businesses and individuals generously support the program through donations and sponsorships.Our primary goals are to: 1) Keep our kids motivated, active, and healthy; 2) Teach them the fundamentals and help them further develop their skills; 3) Develop teamwork and leadership skills; 4) Provide a wide range of opportunities and experiences.In 2024, we had 26-30 children participate along with parents, coaches and grandparents.
