Program 1
$895KElevate concord - in partnership with the city of concord, monument impact (mi) received $1.5m in arpa funding to support elevate concord, a two-year program. Mi also received other funding from partners, the latino community foundation, y&h soda, and community financial resources. The program stabilized 120 families by providing $500 for 12 months + $2500 at the start. Mi partnered with uptogether to help randomly select the families based on specific criteria to ensure fairness and transparency and process the monthly payments. The required program criteria were as follows: single parents who are concord residents have at least one child under 12 years old earns $55,000 or less annually we are working with dr. Rosa maria sternberg on a two (2) year evaluation, which includes both qualitative and quantitative data collection, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the program's effectiveness. The surveys are sent quarterly, and families receive $35 for their responses.
Program 2
$510KAsset building programs - our program empowers individuals to achieve economic self-sufficiency through skill-building, confidence, and personalized support. We served 276 community members to gain job-ready skills, from beginner to advanced levels. Classes are offered in spanish, farsi, and english, with advanced sessions including professional development and mock interviews. We supported 28 new businesses, awarded 15 mini-grants ($1,000$1,200), and issued 14 business loans ($2,500$5,000). 44 clients received employment readiness support. 35 secured jobs through job search and placement services.
Program 3
$316KHealthy communities programs promote mental health, physical activity, diabetes management, and access to health care. Mi served a total of 293 in healthy community program and outreach/campaign 21,105 community members. Social media reached 12,069 people. Healthy communities program had 19 active health promoters.
Program 4
$224KRental and recovery fund in 2020 the emergency relief & recovery fund was established to respond to covid-19 pandemic and its impact on low income immigrants and their families experiencing job loss. In 2022 monument impact distributed a total of $25,196 in rental assistance and direct aid to 19 people.
