Youth program:includes a range of on-site and community-based activities:the sisters transforming and rising star drop-in center provides emergency crisis response, essential needs, and events that bring multiple organizations together for youth and mothers who are survivors of or vulnerable to csec.youth development activities include leadership, advocacy, the thrive initiative, economic empowerment, and other workshops that build career pathways, self-advocacy, and job stability for survivors.the mobile misssey program offers outreach, transportation, and connection to services in the community.

Training and prevention:the organization's training and workshops provide a broad overview of trafficking that includes a discussion of youth pathways and risk factors, prevention and how to support trafficked youth. Youth training and workshops are informed by the lived realities of the youth that the organization serves. All facilitators have developed trauma and healing informed and strengths-based approaches to engage and support youth participants. The organization also facilitates over a dozen school-site youth groups where youth receive support and strengthen skills related to resiliency and mutual support.

Other programs:in addition to direct services, misssey has also prioritized education and prevention efforts to combat the root causes of exploitation. We are thrilled to report that over 150 youth and adults have participated in training sessions aimed at deepening their understanding of commercial sexual exploitation of youth and other forms of sexual exploitation. These training sessions have equipped participants with knowledge and skills to identify risk factors, support survivors, and advocate for systemic change to prevent exploitation in our communities.
