Education & Advocacy - Petitions Platform: With compounding crises and attacks against our communities, MoveOn.org Civic Action's free petition platform has been a catalyst for millions of MoveOn members and progressive partners from across the country. It has propelled us forward on issues that impact our lives from court reform to foreign policy to health care to disaster relief and so much more. Whether at the forefront of a campaign or as an integral part of a larger strategy, MoveOn petitions have empowered local change-makers to make tangible differences at the local, state, and federal level. Petition highlights from 2024 include urging leaders to bring back free COVID vaccines and testing, including demands for free PCR and at-home tests as COVID surged in multiple states, and demanding (See Schedule O) that Congress come back into session before the end of their break and pass disaster relief funding to support relief efforts as our neighbors recovered from the devastation of Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

Education & Advocacy - Digital Organizing: MoveOn.org Civic Action leverages digital technology to drive rapid-response campaigns at scale during high-impact moments, while building sustainable campaigns that resonate and grow over time. Millions of MoveOn members take action through a plethora of tactics: organizing or attending in-person mobilizations, hosting community events, signing petitions, calling their elected officials, and more. Thousands of grassroots leaders have also participated in MoveOn virtual and in-person trainings designed to strengthen their skills to organize in their communities. MoveOn's model allows it to mobilize millions to take action to protect and strengthen democracy, advance progressive foreign policy across the globe, and fight for economic justice, (See Schedule O) climate justice, health care for all, and so much more. Leading into 2024, MoveOn witnessed the rapid evolution of digital organizing and mobilization tactics. With increased reliance on digital platforms for engagement, in 2024 MoveOn worked to modernize how we engage in digital organizing in order to continue to drive impact on a host of issues our members care deeply about.
