Professional Development Program offered to all members and educators. It is hoped that the knowledge gained will improve the delivery of instruction for all students. Educators are able to receive CTLE hours of Education that New York State Department of education requires of all teachers.

Program 2

Young Authors Program - encourages the students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 1w2w from all schools on Long Island to write Memoirs. The students who participate in this program receive a certificate. Those whose writing for each grade receive the top grading are invited to a celebration with their parents and teachers.

Books for Babies - Members volunteer to work with teenage mothers to teach them literacy skills that will help them with their children. The mothers are encouraged to complete their High School education.

Opening WprdProgram. Member volunteers work with immigrant women to teach them English Literacy skills and American History.
