Programs & Activities

Program 1

NAR members abide by a strict Code of Ethics that ensures clients' best interests are served. This promotes high standards of conduct in the transaction of real estate business and requires REALTORS to cooperate with each other on behalf of their clients. Leveraging the voice of our members, NAR's consumer advertising campaign is designed to promote awareness of the REALTOR brand nationally and the value of a REALTOR to a consumer audience through a variety of strategic external marketing initiatives and channels.

Program 2

A broad-based perspective on the value of real property ownership and the impact on families, communities and the economy informs NAR's advocacy work. Accordingly, NAR supports public policy issues that enhance housing affordability and increase access to homeowenership for people of all backgrounds and income levels. The association's websites host tools and resources for members to best counsel home buyers and sellers, feature information about the value of property ownership, consumer guides that allow consumers to do their own research, and portals that help buyers and sellers find agents who are REALTORS.

Program 3

As a member-led organization, NAR conducts local and national meetings where members participate in the governance of the association and learn about real estate best practices, trends and new tools and strategies. In addition to the educational content, NAR conferences provide opportunities for members to network with agents from across the country. Each year NAR holds a midyear meeting and a national conference.

Program 4

NAR offers professional education programs to keep members ahead of an evolving market and enhance leadership skills. NAR holds several online educational sessions and webinars throughout the year to help members get to, and execute, their next transaction by enhancing their businesses and growing their client bases.
