Education/Outreach: NMA educates a rage of audiences, including parents, teens and healthcare professionals about meningococcal disease and its prevention. NMA's national education efforts include maintaining an updated website with disease and prevention information, stories from families who have been affecgted by meningococcal disease, and downloadable resources for the public. NMA also has a presence on social media sites. NMA advocates speak to different national, state and local organizations, such as public health departments and immunization coalitions about the importance of immunizations.

Advocate Training: NMA has two robust volunteer programs: Moms on Meningitis (MOMs) and Together Educating about Meningitis (TEAM). These include more than 150 members who have experienced meningococcal disease and live in more than 30 states. NMA provides members with comprehensive training and resources, as well as ongoing support so they can participate in NMA's ongoing national programs.

Partner Programs: NMA supports adolescent vaccination generally through direct communications and via partnerships and coalitions. NMA sponsors public health forums in which its members participate, along with other public health advocates and professionals. These forums address vaccination policy and public health.
