Church psychology podcast:- dr. David hall continued promoting past resources created for the podcast, church psychology. - resources presented in the podcast work to explore points of alignment and discord between secular psychology and biblically based church communities. The goal is to shed light on the stark difference between superficial faith and deeply held beliefs, sharing practical tools to nourish believers as they navigate life in their communities. While also touching on how to create spaces for grace, compassion, and vulnerability within the church and to help dismantle stigmas around mental health.- maintained a free library of 22 published episodes through 2024- the podcast has had 933 downloads by end of 2024
Program 2
The dean of the negev institute, dr. David hall, was a lead presenter at the wise practice summit held in charlotte, north carolina from october 3-5, 2024. The summit is a forum for faith-based counselors and other mental health therapists in private practice. Dr. Hall presented on his key research on trends related to the popularization of mental health topics and the ways in which they can move counter to therapeutic goals. Over 100 mental health professionals were in attendance and were exposed further to the work of negev institute.
Program 3
Created and presented a full-day live training called faithful ethics: a continuing education (ce) course for helping professionals on navigating the scope-of-work boundaries between pastoral care, coaching, spiritual direction, and professional psychotherapy; in the context of christian care.-was held on april 12, 2024-attended by 17 individuals with direct involvement in both various christian ministry settings as well as professional mental health. These individuals were representing:- the catholic diocese of east tennessee- the holston conference of the united methodist church- the tennessee licensed professional counselors association- the diocese of the south for the anglican church in north america- communities affiliated with the - evangelical free church- southern baptist convention- presbyterian church in america- ebenezer counseling services- healing hearts counseling services- the university of tennessee- knoxville
