In addition offered a web-based service for residents to look up and get information about their elected representatives. Nypirg also hosted the donald k. Ross future leaders program, a civic policy internship program in albany for college students.

For more than 40 years, nypirg has offered counseling to consumers with personal issues and complaints, which include landlord/tenant issues, the purchase of shoddy goods or services, or falling victim to deceptive business practices. This service is free of charge and is not a legal service. In addition, consumers can band together to benefit from collective negotiation for home heating process through nypirg.
