Program 1
$47KYouth mental health training: in response to the need to address the mental health of campers and staff, no shame on u provided mental health training to summer camp staff. Staff learned about mental health risk factors and warning signs and left the sessions empowered to create a positive and caring camp environment and the ability to reduce their stress. No shame on u provides professional development workshops for educators on different mental health topics. No shame on u's teen leadership board is an immersive leadership program that educates high school students about mental health issues and empowers them to spread awareness in their respective communities. Teens culminate the program with a teen-led mental health program. No shame on u also presented to middle school and high school students, parents, and guardians about mental health issues, including: language & stigma, how to support friends who are struggling, and resiliency. No shame on u reached over 3700 participants.
Program 2
$8KVirtual mindful yoga: no shame on u held virtual mindful yoga sessions, a weekly 30 minute yoga class with a special focus on mental wellbeing and mindfulness. With the goal of calming the mind and strengthening the body, regular yoga practice is an effective way to manage stress, anxiety, and depression symptoms. There were more than 540 participants.
Program 3
$5KSupport groups: no shame on u conducts regularly occurring meetings in which people experiencing similar problems or life transitions come together to share personal experiences and coping strategies. With the leadership of a professional, each group has a different focus. There were over 115 participants.
Program 4
$64KGeneral and customized one-time programs: no shame on u reaches out to the community in varied ways. Through a combination of workshops, facilitated discussions, community outreach events, and classes, no shame on u reached over 4,900 people to raise awareness, educate, and provide strategies for coping, all with the goal of lessening the impact of mental health stigma and helping connect people with resources. Our website and social media provide additional resources for working on mental health issues.
