Free and Open Democracy Program Area:Portland Is Possible - Civic Leaders Research and Engagement: Convened community leaders to evaluate new civic project options; Hosted a series of three public events to engage community in facilitated, interactive conversations about the future of our region; Researched shared learning communities and interviewed community leaders about the need for a space to convene civic leaders in Portland.Civic Infrastructure: Continued work establishing a donor table (Oregon Donor Alliance) led by people of color; Met with institutional funders to develop a shared approach to funding civic "infrastructure" in Oregon, as the Oregon Civic Infrastructure Funders.

Prosperous and Equitable Economy - Economy Research, Policy and Convening: Updated our 2017-2019 research on current and future fiscal stress on Oregon's local governments. Convened leaders in philanthropy and community to learn about Oregon's local government's fiscal health; Commissioned research on budget instability and capital gains volatility in Oregon; Developed a policy

Youth Leadership Development: Provided a nine week training and research fellowship for 16 college students and recent graduates. Fellows completed research on Portland area homelessness, state expenditure forecasting, climate migration, economic incentives to curb emissions, and other topics.
