NOW AND TOMORROW

Now and tomorrow uganda - registered community based organization within isingiro district uganda. Now and tomorrow uganda runs informal school-readiness progams for at-risk children who are not in school and capacity building programs for refugee-founded, refugee-run organizations providing support services directly to refugees. Due to the pandemic, children were not able to come together, so some instructors met with small groups (6 or less) to continue their education while the schools were shut down. A total of over 400 children were taught three times per week throughout the year along with non-registered brothers and sisters. As of january 2023, over 1000 previously out of school children in the refugee statement are now enrolled in formal government schools, and have started their personal educational journey as a result of our soma soma program (read-read or study-study in swahili).
