In addition to training, oaesv provides technical assistance to member programs and partners, offering guidance on policy implementation, program management, and compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring a consistent, effective, and survivor-centered service framework across ohio. While primarily focused on programmatic services, certain funds also support essential operational needsunless specifically restrictedsuch as maintaining office infrastructure, technology systems, administrative support, and other critical resources. Unlike many federal grants that limit indirect costs, the state rape crisis fund allows for the allocation of resources toward critical operational expenses, including facilities management, utilities, office supplies, technology, and administrative salaries. This flexibility supports organizational stability and allows program staff to devote more time to direct services and advocacy. The state rape crisis fund is oaesv's largest programmatic funding source, supporting core initiatives and providing stability to scale training and technical assistance efforts.
