Bru organizes transit-dependent riders, namely low-income people, black, indigenous, and people of color, people with disabilities, youth and seniors. Bru is a multiracial, multicultural, intergenerational membership. We focus on east portland communities where there is increasing diversity and concentrated poverty, especially youth poverty, along with high transit-dependency.

We aim to build a transformative narrative for our vision of the future through an anti-imperial, feminist, racially just, and ecologically-centered political alignment. They assembled once a month as a group to collectively plan our work areas/campaigns and topics for our political education workshops.
