Program 1
$35Held monthly public meetings to which all Lockhart residents and businesses were invited. The purpose of the meetings was to boost Lockhart community involvement and connectedness to provide Lockhart residents and business with information about upcoming community events and available community resources and to organize activities for beautification community spirit and crime prevention.
Program 2
$130Conducted monthly clean-ups and improvement activities along Lockhart streets and thoroughfares as well as at entryways of neighborhoods with no homeowners association. Completed community beautification projects including planting trees and native plants in key Lockhart locations. Participated in the Orange County Corridor of the Year initiative which entailed tree-trimming pressure washing painting and other improvements along the Eden Park Road Corridor.
Program 3
$1KOrganized and operated a free Lockhart community Easter Egg Hunt which was open to all Lockhart residents. Over 500 participants including children and family members joined the egg hunt and associated community fair.
Program 4
Promoted the history of the 150 year-old Lockhart community through educational events which included completing the State of Floridas approval process for placement of a Community of Lockhart historical marker.
