Powerplay nyc advances the lives of girls (ages 5-18) through sports, helping them grow physically, emotionally and academically stronger.our superstars leadership academy (ssla) program is a high-impact leadership development program for high school girls that focuses on sports, health & wellness; college access & career readiness; life skills development, leadership development workshops, a mentoring program and a peer coaching program.

Powerplay nyc advances the lives of girls (ages 5-18) through sports, helping them grow physically, emotionally and academically stronger. Stars citywide girls initiative (stars cgi) is a collaborative of ten leading nyc nonprofits that support girls and young women of color overcome barriers to success; grow physically, emotionally and academically stronger; and develop as leaders in their communities. Led by powerplay, the collaborative continues to create opportunities for girls (in all five boroughs of nyc) to amplify their voices concerning issues that impact their lives. This is accomplished via the stars cgi fellows program, self-care series, youth town halls and leadership breakfasts.
