The sponsorhip provides access to courses promoting self-rescue swimming techniques to children up to 6 years and emphasizes health, ongoing program evaluations and parent education.

Proceeds are generated from sale of tickets and money collected from donated items that are raffled off during the event. All proceeds after expenses are returned to the benevolence fund to be disbursed to voted upon organizations and/or individual assistance.

The ptsd bear the burden powerlifting event is open to all members of the department. The event is to raise awareness to pstd affecting first responders and the military. Proceeds are generated from registration fees.
