Artesia Recreation Center FoundationPY Foundation is covering the cost of design and engineering for the construction of a recreation center that will be donated to the City of Artesia once completed. This will be a public facility to replace the City's current recreation center, built in 1980, that has multiple structural issues and is too small to adequately meet the community's needs. PY Foundation also covered start-up costs for the Artesia Recreation Center Foundation as well as costs to research recreation centers in other cities.

Capacity building for all local nonprofitsPY Foundation continues to increase local nonprofit organizations' capability to operate by providing continuing education to staff and boards. They provided quarterly two-day classes by the University of Texas as well as some one-on-one training for a start-up board. PY Foundation provided a contract employee to Artesia MainStreet to help with their Arts & Cultural District and aided several small nonprofits with website design, bookkeeping and tax filings.
