Program 1

$689K

The carbon ranch initiative helps build the capacity of land stewards to test and implement evidence-based land management practices that build productivity and resilience through research, engagement, and technical assistance.

Program 2

$742K

New agrarian program - the new agrarian program develops the next generation of land stewards, graziers, food producers, and agricultural leaders through land-based learning, mentorship, education, and community support. We do this through regenerative ranching apprenticeships and two fellowship programs that help beginning agrarians enter into careers in regenerative agriculture and gain the skills and support needed to stay in these careers. Our anticipated impact is providing beginning agrarians with the skills, training, and resources for lifelong careers in regenerative agriculture.

Program 3

$162K

Land and water program - furthers quivira's mission through four initiatives: improving land health, building local capacity, disseminating knowledge and innovation, and strengthening diverse relationships. In the past eighteen years, program activities have included land management, restoration projects, hands-on workshops, land health monitoring, mentoring and incubating new restoration practitioner businesses, and general promotion of land literacy. Currently, the overarching goal of this program is to encourage and assist with the regeneration of riparian ecosystems and grasslands through demonstration projects that integrate all four program initiatives. Quivira also participates in various committees and coalitions committed to implementing land health projects. Expense 20,321 revenue 0 communications - we tell the stories of resilience on working lands, the people who tend them, and the work of quivira coalition through creative communications strategies.
