Community development programs---------------------------------------------r & d impact foundation's primary charitable activity is to help at-risk populations by leveraging science to provide educational opportunities and relieve distress, such as homelessness and poverty, and eliminate prejudice and discrimination, with innovative, evidence-based, and lasting solutions. The foundation provides services and programs for disadvantaged children and families in an underserved neighborhood, such as the tenderloin district of san francisco, california, a district that suffers from significant poverty and community deterioration. The foundation tailors its work to the specific needs of each neighborhood with community based programs, such as free afterschool programs and community outreach, to mitigate the problems and alleviate poverty, homelessness, and distress. These programs are provided at no cost to participants.
