Programs & Activities
Program 1
$587Bret Harte Elementary School Outreach Research and Education Program: Program providing Bret Harte Elementary Students with nutrition exercise and mental health-informative activities in an engaging manner. The program was created by RIVER and is run by our volunteers to allow students to develop a strong relationship with nutrition and exercise. Preventative health education was provided for students in the Bret Harte afterschool program. Historically this partnership had formed when RIVER noticed that the health education program had been cut due to being part of an underserved community. Over the past few years RIVER has shown significant flexibility and efforts to engage with Bret Harte students.
Program 2
$24Health Coach Program: RIVER members develop skills as health coaches to work with clients through the Redwood Seed Program tailoring individualized nutrition and exercise goals and promoting healthy behavior changes. The service is provided virtually or in-person and is free for any interested individual.
