The town of new harmony was founded in 1814 as a utopian society. It has a long history of cultural and intellectual development and activity which continues into the present day. It is recognized world wide for it's unique historic heritage and it's melding of this legacy with a unique atmosphere which promotes and encourages current innovation and development in numerous areas of human endeavor. The robert lee blaffer foundation primary mission is to preserve, promote and support, financially and otherwise, the various historical and educational attributes of the town of new harmony. To that end the foundation invites other organizations to present seminars, concerts and other cultural and educational activities which are held in the community. These activities are directly related to the charitable purpose of the foundation.
