Program 1

1) Stanford Physics Fellowships with international and interdisciplinary collaborations. In the 20232024 academic year, four more outstanding students were selected to join the Stanford Shoucheng Zhang Fellows, continuing the programs tradition of supporting excellence in research.In 2024, the Foundation also co-hosted the Shoucheng Zhang Conference on Quantum Science and Engineering with Stanford Q-FARM at the Chaminade Resort & Spa. The event brought together over 50 faculty members, students, and researchers working in the fields of quantum science and engineering.In addition to the conference, the Foundation organized events for Stanford faculty and students to exchange ideas on emerging scientific discoveries and explore future research collaborations.

2) This year, the Shoucheng Zhang Foundation continues its partnership with Elevate Tutoring to provide scholarship support to first-generation college students. These students receive training and, in turn, offer free STEM tutoring to underserved middle and high school students.

3) Support AASF (Asian American Scholar Forum) program. We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Asian American Scholar Forum https://www.aasforum.org/about-us/aasf-origins-founders/ to support and promote the Youth Ambassador for Science Competitiona powerful initiative that celebrates the spirit of curiosity, discovery, and cultural pride.

4) Publication of Another Truth of the UniverseShoucheng Zhang Foundation successfully completed a major educational initiative: the development, publication, and distribution of the book Another Truth of the Universe.This comprehensive volume presents Professor Zhangs groundbreaking research in condensed matter physics, including his seminal contributions to topological insulators, the quantum spin Hall effect, and related fields. The projects primary goal was to make these complex scientific concepts accessible to a broader audience by translating advanced theoretical work into a format suitable for the general public.
