$551KSinai urban health institute (suhi) works in partnership with community members and organizations to document disparities and improve health in some of the most vulnerable neighborhoods in the city. Suhi conducts health disparities research, develops innovative community health interventions, delivers community health worker training and consultation, and provides a broad scope of evaluation services. Currently funded initiatives focus on asthma, breast health, diabetes and violence.

$389KAids/hiv initiativessinai provides support for both medical and social support services for persons living with hiv. Medical services include outpatient ambulatory health, mental health, psychosocial support, and early intervention services. Social support services provide case management for persons living with hiv. Case managers support patients through issues related to the social determinants of health like housing, employment, and nutrition, as well as medication-related issues like adherence.
