Program 1
$500Received a $500 garden grant allowing us to further teach gardening and self sustainment through agriculture. The student development of the garden taught skills such as canning and produce production. Assisted students in teaching self reliance as well as potential farming and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Program 2
School was able to move to a new building. The building has allowed students greater autonomy. The building incorporated an outside area facilitating the garden play area and outside teaching opportunities. This has allowed students greater opportunities for education styles that fit their needs.
Program 3
Increased student enrollment numbers to achieve full enrollment. This incorporated more students in different age groups bringing a diversity to the student population and allowing different perspectives and equality in educational opportunities for the community.
Program 4
Expanded fundraising activities with the students to include teaching students how to make products sale and distribute. The fundraiser helped educate students on the cooking process as well as beginning to learn entrepreneurship and tracking finances. All proceeds went to support the schools scholarship programs.
