Program 2
$1.7MLegislative and political liaison: the association maintains a professional staff. In addition to their normal duties, various staff members are also registered to lobby for purposes to aid in obtaining legislation beneficial to the law enforcement profession. Information is provided to the association membership with regards to political activities through chapter and division legislative committees. These activities include political candidate screenings, endorsement of candidates for election, legislative enactment and other interactions with elected officials at the local, state and national levels.
