Programs & Activities

Program 1

Greater Growth: Greater Spokane Inc. drives economic development by providing comprehensive support to businesses at every stage of their growth. This includes fostering entrepreneurship, assisting startups, enabling expansion for existing companies, retaining businesses in the region, and recruiting new ones. Our targeted efforts focus on high-growth and high-potential industries such as life sciences, aerospace, agriculture, manufacturing, and professional services. Through strategic recruitment and marketing, we promote the region as a competitive and attractive location for businesses to thrive.

Program 2

Greater Talent: Career Connect Northeast serves as the foundation for providing career-connected learning and STEM experiences in the region. By fostering partnerships between businesses and educators, we help develop a workforce equipped with the skills needed for success. Key programs include Teaching the Teachers, Business After-School, and Greater Minds. Through the Spokane STEM Network, we engage students to increase their pursuit of STEM competencies, preparing them for future careers. Additionally, our Greater Minds initiative focuses on improving educational attainment for adults in Spokane County, supporting the community's goal of raising the percentage of adults with post-secondary degrees.

Program 3

Greater Voice: Greater Spokane Inc. (GSI) collaborates with the business community to advocate for policies that promote economic growth and strengthen the local business environment. This includes advancing initiatives such as lowering workers' compensation and unemployment insurance costs, supporting workforce development, and improving facilities and infrastructure. Each year, GSI develops comprehensive State and Federal Legislative Agendas that unify and represent the interests of the community. These agendas advocate for key issues in business, transportation, education, healthcare, military affairs, and more, ensuring that the region's needs are addressed at the legislative level.
