SPONDYLOARTHRITIS RESEARCH AND TREATMENT

Spartan grantsthe mission of spartan is to advance research and education to improve the care of patients with spondyloarthritis. We feel strongly that laying the foundation for the next generation of researchers and leaders in spa is an important portal to achieve this mission. The goal of our grant programs is to support the early stages of a fellow-led research project. With the aim of encouraging fellows to take up research projects under mentors with expertise in spa, spartan supports to 2 mentored fellowship projects each year ($10,000 per project - with $5000 each for the mentor and mentee). Spartan's early career investigator award supports early career investigators who are working in the field of axial spondyloarthritis and has been renamed the early career investigator (eci) award with up to 2 new grants supported ($25,000 per project per year for two years) annually. Travel awards go to the top 3 abstracts to support travel to industry meetings (3 awards @ $1000 each).
