Apps4good: around the world, techsoup supports a variety of issues facing web and mobile application technology products that help ngos serve their communities. Techsoup is often sought out to close the gap between big-picture vision and the ability to execute by facilitating design sessions, developing new technology interventions, and further developing and scaling existing tools. The team's community-driven approach to technology development--informed by community engagement work and design thinking principles--has resulted in the successful delivery of several tech services and apps, including the safe shelter collaborative, worker connect, range, safenight, and 4bells. Caravan studios also works with local groups to support their generation and design. In this capacity they have supported food security efforts among others.fundacja techsoup engages regional and local communities in building resiliency and flexibly adapting to the challenges of modern constantly changing world through educational programs, community building and micro granting, especially in areas of digital activism, media literacy, countering disinformation, personal and organizational resiliency, open data, transparency and accountability, digital security, positive narratives, campaigning and communication, coding, or gamification. Core to the approach is nurturing existing capacities and expertise of csos members, activists, trainers, and educators and allowing these civic space actors to self-organize around social issues and causes important for their communities, using critical thinking, and investing time and energy in fostering their own resilience against various challenges civils society face with the help of digital technology. Over the past three years, based on the past projects' experiences in central and eastern europe, fundacja techsoup has developed digital activism for resilient communities program, composed of diverse portfolio of projects supported by various partners and donors, implemented not only in europe, but also in latin america, west and south africa, and caucasus and central asia.
