Aaaa has been a key player in establishing and preserving the ability of adoptive parents to offset the expense of adoption by the federal adoption expense tax credit.
Program 2
The academy of adoption and assisted reproduction attorneys plays a leading role in the development of laws, policies, and practices designed to benefit and insure consideration of all party's interests in the areas of adoption and assisted reproductive technology. Aaaa fellows are legal thought leaders in their fields of practice and aaaa is recognized by those on capitol hill as the authority on adoption and assisted reproduction law. As an organization, and through its members and committees, aaaa has provided amicus curiae assistance in numerous court cases and has provided advice to members of congress and key agencies on multiple issues impacting adoption and assisted reproduction, including va benefits, the drafting of the uniform adoption act and the drafting and preservation of the adoption tax credit.
