Academic programs - aef has two main academic programs: advertising & society quarterly (asq) and adtext. Asq is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the aef and distributed by the johns hopkins university press (jhup) project muse. Adtext is an interdisciplinary curriculum created by the foundation that explores advertising from the perspectives of society, culture, history, ethics and brand management.

Educational conferences, meeting and events -aef holds various meetings and events to engage: 1) the marketing and advertising community, 2) academic institutions, 3) professors, 4) students. Aef offers classroom guest speakers who are visiting marketing and advertising professionals and annual visiting professor fellowships that partner academics with agencies and marketing organizations, compelling thought leadership symposia. Asq colloquiums allowing professors collaboration and share best practices.all educational conferences, meetings and events were complimentary to attendees.
