Scholarships - direct awards be it scholars: 7 students were granted scholarships in the amount of 5,000 each with the understanding that they are renewable until they reach their highest degree as long as they continue to meet the criteria. A public notice went out that applications were open and we sent notifications to high school and college counselors to announce the opening of applications. We reviewed first round applicants and chose a group to be interviewed. The top candidates were awarded the scholarship and have participated in monthly leadership and skills development meetings. Alamo college scholarship students were invited to participate in the leadership mentoring meetings. Two graduated from this third cohort, one received his masters in accounting without renewing his scholarship while the other graduated with her ba and went on to dental school. You matter mental health stigma reduction campaign processes were set up for communications and staff worked with interns to design, develop, and distribute messaging in a variety of media. Media releases were sent for the different programs that were administered and published.
