THE BERKLEY FOUNDATION FOR HISTORICAL

The foundation's principal activities include (i) assembling, maintaining and preserving a collection of historical documents and artifacts from foundational moments of american history, as well as a collection of art, antiques, and other tangible personal property having intrinsic artistic or aesthetic worth, (ii) making such collections available and accessible to both the general public and the scholarly community through loans, donations, and other means to museums, galleries, universities and other appropriate cultural, education, and charitable institutions, and (iii) making such collections available for scholarly research and study. The foundation may also mount, host, and conduct exhibitions of items from its collections from time to time when such items are not on loan to other institutions.
