The Brant Foundation is pleased to announce the exhibition of Singles Mixer 2005 6 by artist Mike Kelley b. Detroit 1954-2012 in its East Village space. Opening May 17 2024 through June 29 2024 this will mark the first presentation of the work in New York since 2018. Singles Mixer comprises a three-channel video piece foregrounded by an intentionally tacky installation with drab sculptural elements. We are thrilled to be exhibiting Mike Kelleys thought-provoking work at The Brant Foundation this spring said the Foundations founder Peter M. Brant. With the proliferation of social media platforms Kelleys satire on human interaction remains as relevant today as when he first imagined Day Is Done in the early 2000s.

The Brant Foundations Basquiat x Warhol exhibition was on view from November 1 2023 through January 7 2024. Curated by Dr. Dieter Buchhart and Peter M. Brant in collaboration with Dr. Anna Karina Hofbauer this was the first time the collaboration has been subject of a major New York Exhibition since 1997 at the Gagosian Gallery. The exhibition traveled from Louis Vuitton in Paris France and has benefited from the collaboration between the two institutions.
