$429KFederated charities operates social purpose real estate and provides operational space to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in frederick, maryland. In 2023, 16 nonprofits used our space for their primary operations, which included below market rent, reduced cost boradband and printing, free meeting space and other space amenities, and a collaborative community of other social change organizations. We also offer professional development opportunities and technical assistance to nonprofits and in 2023 served more than 60 individuals representing 30+ local organizations. Our center offers free meeting space and event to offsite organizations and hosted more than 300 meetings in our facility.
Program 2
$17KFederated charities has a history of direct community service, including recent operation of the beverly a. Sharrer medical equipment loan closet, community table (a food program in partnership with the housing authority), and rapid response emergency financial assistance. Current community service programs include the mitten project (a cold weather distribution program). In 2024, we will launch the backpack project, distributing backpacks to un-housed individuals.
