The governor's foundation for health and wellness continued to communicate its key messages through non-paid, news media coverage of programs and services, including articles and photographs in daily and weekly newspapers, newsletters, and other media outlets. It also sustained its on-line presence through its website and the use of social media outlets that included facebook, twitter, and instagram. At the end of the fiscal year, there were more than 89,000 individuals who had accessed at least once the foundation's web-based tools, called "small starts, and an app developed by the foundation called "streaks for small starts." more than 2,400 workplaces had accessed its on-line tools for employee wellness, and more than 740 faith-based organizations that had accessed its tools for wellness programs at places of worship.the governor's foundation for health and wellness continued to promote its web-based program for parents and caregivers of children from birth to early childhood, called "small starts for families." this resource provides tips and tools that are divided into four health-related categories - nutrition, physical activity, tobacco abstinence, avoidance of second-hand smoke, dental and oral hygiene, and better sleep.
