Program 1
Contributed to development of an official policy for conserving biodivrsity as climate changes for the marin conservation league. Also contributed to the efforts of the national public utilities council (npuc)to foster a collaboration between public utilities and innovative solutions to carbon reduction challenges.
Program 2
Educational programs included research project participation,seminars, conference talks, high school science programs, and on-farm events for children and adults, including opportunities for engagement with oklahoma state university students.
Program 3
Environmental projects at the farm to protect, preserve & renew the environment included (1) conducting a prescribed burn to reduce invasive species and recycle nutrients into the soil, (2) began terrace work to help reduce soil erosion and manage water runoff more effectively, (3) invested in irrigation bags for border trees, hedgerows and the orchard.
Program 4
Infrastructure investments to support the land as a working farm and educational hub included: (1) completiing installation of a 30,000-gallon water tank, (2) on-site tesla dual-port charger, (3) automated irrigation system, and (4) full inventory of the border tree survival, meeting with a tree specialist about the ongoing care of the trees as well as replanting those trees lost.
