To promote and support the study of and research in the philosophy of mathematics. The volunteer board promotes the organization to raise awareness and membership and to plan and sponsor workshops and conferences, support publications and ongoing scholarly and professional discussion, and gather and disseminate information of general interest to its members. The association, through its volunteers, organized a joint session in march 2024 with the american philosophical association. Participants volunteer their time and efforts at no cost to the organization.
