Elementary - Ivymount School, a nonprofit special education school, provides the Aspire Elementary/Middle program, which serves students from kindergarten through grade 8. Students are assigned to classroom models based on their individual learning needs. The school offers individualized, evidence-based services through partnerships with school team members, local education agencies, students, and their families, aiming to help each student achieve their highest level of development.

The Maddux School is a private, general-education day school offering small, structured classes with specialized social and language supports for children in pre-kindergarten through second grade. The goal is to nurture a love of learning by teaching children how to learn. Through individualized and differentiated instruction, Maddux maintains high academic standards while addressing social challenges, learning differences, and self-esteem concerns. Social learning is embedded in all activities throughout the day and across core subjects like math, language arts, and science, as well as specials such as art, music, and technology.

Other Services

ProjectSEARCH is a unique one-year school-to-work program designed to help young adults with significant disabilities transition from school to a productive adult life. The program takes place entirely in the workplace, combining classroom instruction, career exploration, and on-the-job training through worksite rotations or internships. It includes extensive training, innovative adaptations, long-term job coaching, and continuous feedback from teachers, job coaches, and employers.
