THE JEWISH FOUNDATION FOR THE RIGHTEOUS

The jfr is committed to teaching the history of the holocaust, to addressing antisemitism, and to preserving the legacy of righteous gentiles. The jfr's national holocaust teacher education program is comprised of four key components: 1) jfr published educational materials; 2) the alfred lerner fellowship program; 3) holocaust centers of excellence program; and 4) educational seminars, institutes, and workshops for teachers and students. The jfr's national teacher training program works with 13 recognized holocaust centers across the united states. These holocaust centers comprise the jfr's holocaust centers of excellence program. The jfr continued to provide support to 13 holocaust centers located across the united states and to their teachers. The jfr continues to support its more than 690 alfred lerner fellows from the united states, poland, croatia, hungary, and lithuania as well as meeting the needs of individual educators and schools across the united states requesting information about the holocaust and how to teach this complex subject in the classroom.
