The john r. Selman and maggie b. Selman charitable trust has been created to provide funds for charitable activities, education activities and similar activities in and around the general areas of sealy, tx, provided that these organizations are the types of organizations organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes, and which are described in internal revenue code section 170(c) and internal revenue code section 2055(a)(1),(2) and (3). Examples of organizations are listed in the purpose clause of the trust document and include public schools, parks, libraries, recreation facilities, fire departments, emergency medical services, social service organizations, animal rescue facilities and educational facilities. It is intended that the john r. Selman and maggie b. Selman charitable trust make investments and use the principal and interest to make annual disbursements to qualified organizations.
