The Meleka Foundation Inc

In 2023, the foundation conducted several programs in Tanzania. It continued its sponsorship program for Hadza children, providing quality private school education, healthcare, food, mentorship, special events, and more year-round. The foundation also supported mothers and infants through pregnancy, birth, and the first year of life, offering emergency hospital transport, doctor visits, care packages, and camp visitations with nurses/midwives. Additionally, it expanded its girls' health project across another secondary school, improving access to menstrual products, and continued the womens empowerment initiative. The foundation also launched a new health outreach initiative to better understand the health issues facing the community and provided health education and solutions through partnerships, including doctor well-visits and screenings. Other activities included outreach, supporting local schools, food drives, media, and community engagement projects.
