THE MOMMSEN FOUNDATION

Our primary charitable activities as an irs-designated operating foundation consist of financing the preparation of scholarly documentary articles by independent researchers/scholars in germany and elsewhere that make up the individual volumes of the multi-volume series 'the origins of goethe's works in documents' ('die entstehung von goethes werken in dokumenten'). As this project is nearing completion, we are substantially shifting our focus to direct participation in interrelated projects carried out in collaboration with specialists associated with the georges rouault foundation and archive in furtherance of the artistic legacy of rouault (1871-1958) and as part of our overall mission "for the advancement of world culture."
