Reentry - nehemiah provides a wide array of culturally competent and relevant services to meet the reentry needs of men who are leaving jail or prison. It offers emergency and transitional housing along with reentry and recovery coaching to help ex-offenders successfully transition back into our community.

Fiscal sponsorship - nehemiah supports local businesses by providing loans to fund startup costs. It also supports the work of various community organizations and coalitions in their missions by acting as a fiscal sponsor.

Leadership and capacity development - nehemiah helps support and train indigenous leaders within the neighborhood to take further leadership and responsibility for their own community. Various educational and informational programs are offered throughout the year. Its allied neighborhood community chaplain program offers spiritual care in a variety of forms, such as assisting with funerals; visiting shut-ins; offering bible studies; and caring for and praying with individuals and families. It assists many residents with advocacy and help equip them for self-advocacy. It is able to assist families with obtaining adequate housing and fulfilling legal obligations. It supports youth and teen attendance in school, helping students to complete required courses. It offers specialized programming for teen girls, focusing on issues such as esteem and character development.

Youth leadership - nehemiah runs a number of programs that combine leadership development techniques, drug and alcohol prevention, and stem learning into a culturally relevant experience focused on african american youth. Its k-12 programs work in the schools and in after school programs. Ace, brother, mid, and light cover children from kindergarten through high school. Its allied choir and genesis programs center the development process in the communities through singing, team building, and community events.

Program 5

Family & community wellness - nehemiah's community chaplain collaborates with churches and nonprofits serving the at-risk, under-resourced allied neighborhood. The chaplain provides advocacy for residents, serves as an intermediary with a wide range of social service providers, offers direct assistance with basic needs, and offers spiritual care. There has been no activity in this program in 2023 and 2022.
