Social justice foundation is a 501(c)(3), and qualifies as a private foundation that devotes most of its resources to the active conduct of its exempt activities under section 4942 (j)(3). To receive funds and actively conduct scientific and educational programs for public benefit within the requirements of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Work towards creating a 'knowledge' society by demonstrating the importance of using academic research in the media. Present the wider public with scientific information in accessible language - by way of publications, website, and other programs - to promote civil discourse and help formulate informed decisions about current and pressing social problems. Train young journalists to report on scientific information by way of internships and fellowships.
