As a complement to the grants it makes to promote and improve robotic surgery worldwide, the vattikuti foundation also engages in several direct programs to advance robotic surgery. Every year, the foundation sponsors a three-day symposium featuring leading surgeons presenting on important issues to accelerate progress in the field. The high point of this symposium is the annual awards dinner at which the foundation presents its ks international innovation awards. The presentation of the awards is the culmination of an international competition, organized by the foundation, to recognize surgical talent and share news about cutting-edge robotic surgery technique and devices.(continued on statement 15)
