Communications - in 2024, our team continued to significantly elevate our media presence and position the organization as a trusted voice on people-centered health care policy. Usofcare experts shared the organization's perspective in more than 30 interviews, generating 81 media mentions on our priority issues. We built and launched several dedicated websites to share our findings. This includes a dedicated patient-first care website, offering valuable resources, messaging guidance, and a quiz to highlight the distinctions between patient-first care and fee-for-service models. To share our ai in health care poll, along with other resources on policy implications, we launched an accountable innovation resource hub website. These efforts underscore our ongoing commitment to transforming health care and shaping public discourse.

Research & community engagement: the research and community engagement department experienced a highly productive and impactful year in 2024, marked by significant achievements across various strategic priorities. A notable highlight was the prestigious caley tullman award, accompanied by $75,000 in funding, recognizing the department's innovative contributions to the field. This external validation underscores the quality and relevance of the team's work. Furthermore, the successful launch of the internal data search tool represents a significant advancement in the department's infrastructure, streamlining access to critical information and enhancing research efficiency across all projects.the department also demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement and understanding diverse perspectives. Successful listening sessions conducted in north carolina and maine provided valuable qualitative data, directly informing research and outreach efforts. This dedication to authentic engagement was further bolstered by the significant $200,000 commonwealth grant secured for crucial primary care research, positioning the department as a key contributor to advancing healthcare knowledge. The release of the impactful culturally responsive care report signifies the department's commitment to promoting equitable and inclusive practices within the healthcare landscape.building capacity for future research, the department hired a skilled data scientist, strengthening its analytical capabilities. The publication of mch (maternal and child health) data further solidified the department's role in disseminating vital research findings to inform policy and practice. The innovative launch of the ai poll and subsequent multiple briefings demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to data collection and dissemination, effectively engaging stakeholders with timely insights. Looking ahead, the successful securing of the west health message testing project for 2025 promises continued impactful work and external funding, setting the stage for another successful year.
